My rubaiyat-style quatrains used to have titles to them, but they went the way of the Dodo bird. The first two lines of this quatrain refer to the rows and columns on a calendar. (‘row’ and ‘vow’ are sight rhymes only.) The artwork is a colorization of one of Edmund Sullivan’s b/w illustrations.
I used to put words right on the artwork, but there has to be room and so it didn’t always work, plus then it’s more difficult to update the words, but I’ll show some of the better ones every so often.
