The Final Answer

The Theory of No Absolutes (Relativism)

This is a theory of relativism, based on ideas by Nobody Nowhere (online) and Gavin Giorbran (‘Everything Forever’), which are similar. Light and time play the entire role, as ‘instantaneous’. Giorbran is dead and Nobody is nowhere to be found, so it falls on me to join their near identical ideas together, presenting and extending them.

An absolute, such as matter-mass-energy-substance would have intrinsic properties, its basis being indivisible, as unbreakable and thus unmakable, and furthermore, it being all that there is, there would be no more and no other. This has problems. Its opposite is ‘relative’.

I’m showing that absolutes are impossible, thus leaving/forcing what we call the ‘reality’ of our sensory experiences to be relative and thus transient and so not of any enduring underlying intrinsic nature but only of that relativism which can’t help but ‘happen’ through ‘time’.

An absolute of necessitated total solidity is often referred to as the One, whereas an absolute of necessary complete vacuity would be referred to as the Zero. I am proposing that neither the One nor the Zero can be, which makes for the extremely numerous and varied scenarios of fractionals in between, they having no intrinsics, one of which scenarios is the ‘miragic’ gleam of our own relative existence.

Relative to what, though? Relative to the impossible absolutes, by necessity. For example, zero Kelvin is not required to be observed to be deduced a point from which to measure relative temperature. 0 K is kind of like the impossible absolute Zero, which is not just of low/no temperature but of more, such as no motion, no anything.

So, then, the notions of a real everything, real time, real space, and real motion must fall, along with some of their brethren, such as actual positive and negative infinities, largest and smallest infinities, as well as the eternity of any specific thing. This is not to say, though, that there cannot be relative/potential infinities and eternities. Some even gets worse, though, perhaps for some people, in that everything has already happened, in a kind of tape-delayed, time-dilated broadcast.

Actual infinities can go away, right off the bat, for infinities cannot be capped, and thus they have no being as to be able to be. So, the proposed absolute of the One makes it (and all absolutes) as to be finite, if they could be. For example, the universe is seen as finite, and is considered absolute by some.

As for a proposed absolute of the Zero, which would be the total lack of anything, we know it is not so, nor could it be, for it isn’t there and it doesn’t even have a ‘there’. It is not an empty place for a something to move into, for it isn’t even a place. We cannot go back on this and suddenly try to have Zero or even any bit of it to be somewhere. It isn’t there and never can be, nor it is it the current state of affairs, for there is not a lack of anything here.

We next need to show that an absolute One is impossible, as well, and we can use the proven impossible Zero to accomplish that. It has been proposed that the One of the universe came forth into the Zero, still expands into that Zero, has Zero outside of it, and may have some Zero ‘places’ within it. None of these can be so, since something cannot fill a place that isn’t there, and if there were Zeroes within the One, between some things, then those things would not be separated but would be right next to each other, making for no ‘between’.

Having Zero on the outside of One is a logical fallacy, as is having Zero within One. ‘Nothing’ does not exist, and is not replaceable by something—you can’t put something, even space or time, into that which isn’t there. There is an ultimate future symmetry though.

So, both the absolute One and the absolute Zero are impossible, leaving and forcing only the relative, in between, as any and all fractional scenarios. So, nonexistence, which cannot be, somehow, as then embodied by the photon, must divide itself by itself, as 0/0 = n, producing the relative All of all the ‘n’s, allowing for the observability of electrons. The One that is sought by both science and religion doesn’t exist, so the in-between, forced default condition, has to, which is the Possibility for Everything.

With no outside to All, all has to be happen via the relations therein-herein.

The One remains, the many change and pass;
Heaven’s light forever shines, Earth’s shadows fly;
Life, like a dome of many-coloured glass,
Stains the white radiance of Eternity…

Absolute vs. Relative
A None isn’t ‘there’ nor shows up here,
So, a One can’t be, either, with None outside;
Thus there is no absolute One or None,
Which forces the relative ‘in-between’.

‘One’ as an Absolute Fails Even More
So, we can’t step into what isn’t there,
Nor can a One expand into None,
Nor can there be spaces of None
Within the arena of a One.

Relativism
Absolute time, space, and motion
Are impossible, which forces relative frames—
Of fractional relations of
Infinite variations of quanta.

The Oddness of Light Photons
Light is ‘null’ to time—not a part of it,
Nor is light of space—it makes space-time ‘lit’.
On a light beam there’s no extent or time!
Light seems to have neither reason nor rhyme.

Already There
Light’s full speed in a true vacuum
Of no time and no space is as ‘infinite’,
For it is already everywhere;
In other words: everywhere in no time.

The Zero-Point Extended
This point of creation-annihilation
Is extended into a faux reality,
Both by finite consciousness and by
Light slowed by virtual particles pairs.

Light/Matter
Light photons colliding make for
Electrons and positrons, and vice-versa,
With the forward-time of photons being
Canceled by the backward-time gravitons.

Phantasmal Being
Each ‘now’ that’s created and recreated
Over the various relative quanta
Has really already happened, coming, going,
And never ever returning, gone in a flash.

Once Upon a ‘Time’
Of course, it did all really happen ‘once’,
As in all-at-once, in the timeless realm
That must be the state of the ‘eternal’ IS,
With IS being close to what’s called the ‘Wiz’

Nether-Nor
So, neither absolute solidity
Nor absolute vacuity can be,
Leaving relativism as a necessity,
For we do have sensory experience.

The Play
Our ‘reality’ is as a flip-book’s pages turning,
The still pictures changing a bit, granting
An apparent motion, such as in a movie;
However, we do get to experience it!

Come and Gone
Like the light from a star already spent,
Our ‘get up and go’ has long gone and went.
We all birthed, lived, and died right away;
There’s nothing left but the slo-mo replay.

Being Nothingness
Our parentheses in eternity
Flashes as a twinkling, but’s extended
By ‘time’ into a phantasmic life dream
That’s existent the same as if it were.

In the Eye of the Beholder
A life dream’s like a rainbow, not really there,
A false phenomenon become tangible
Through relativism, this faux true,
Molding temporary significance.

Arbitrary
Life’s indeterminate and not, the same
Being brought by the virtual as the true,
The mechanics being as incidental
As why ‘color’ chose its wave frequencies.

The Mechanics of Reality
The result, being the message, is undeniable,
But herein we speak of the messenger,
Which is the implementation,
As that of a recording, over a live band.

The Balance of Opposites
Life’s here, as like virtual particles
Born this side of an event horizon
Of a Black Hole, real-eyes(ed) by their presence
In the realm of what’s been radiated.

What Makes No Difference is No Difference
There is no difference in what makes none;
‘Relativism’ is now playing, the living film—
A reality show in the inner theater
Of the mind’s eye, with the ‘I’ observing.

Existence Has No Opposite
‘Possibility’ is what’s fundamental,
For all that can be must first be possible.
This ‘Potential’ for All is the default,
Since a NOT can’t be, or even be meant.

The Math
0/0 = n (all variations), since any n times 0 = 0,
So, 0/0 is as nonexistence divided by itself
Into all of the various relative states;
No absolutes, so there’s only the temporary.

More Math
Zero is the greatest number, for it represents
The sum of negative and positive infinities.
Note that an actual infinity cannot be,
For it cannot be capped, and thus has no being.

Lighting the Way
Our finite speed of light, ‘c’, is such
Because it is slowed by virtual particles,
But, even so, to ride it makes time instant,
With all space shrinking to a point.

The Cosmic Egg
The cosmos is as a giant neutron or photon,
The crests and troughs waving, in a
Relative existence, between Zero and One,
Unable to reach either, jiggling-rippling.

Not Unbreakable, Not Unmakeable
The necessity of no One and no None
Makes for no absolutes, which means
That time, space, matter, and motion
Have no intrinsic, indivisible qualities.

The First Cause
Thus, our ‘reality’ is only apparent,
Yet this effect happens always, everywhere,
For the causeless-defaulted ‘cause’ of this
Potential-Possibility must always be such.

Total Solidity and Complete Vacuity Can’t Be
The One and the None cannot mix;
Then there would be two opposite absolutes;
Plus, what is solid could not move,
So, neither can cut it; relativism rules.

The Duos and Duels of Nature
Dualities seem to assist nature:
Good-evil, on-off, hot-cold, man-woman,
Up-down, left-right, here-there, past-future, and
So, neither can exist without the other.

Duality Now and Thus Always
Object and Subject are of what Man is made,
Qualia brightly floating in Nature’s shade
Of consciousness, and so then down through history
Duality’s track of steps is there to see.

Ever Becoming
What’s said to be eternal isn’t made—
It’s here, from not anything, with no debit paid,
Which is to say, too, it’s not from anywhere,
And that seems pretty much like from nowhere.

No Source
Well, there’s nothing to make anything of,
So, then, that is ever what it’s made of,
Whether eternal or always becoming,
In that nether-land of the law of no laws.

Uncaused
For what is causeless there is no point
At which any specific direction
Can be imparted to it; thus, there is none:
Everything that is possible can happen.

Dichotomy
There must be a duality of Yin and Yang,
Such as Being and Nothingness combined,
For what is complete unto itself has no
Catalyst from which to initiate change.

Binary Dialectic Dichotomies Bifurcate
Of Being and Nothingness the Universe
Banged forth space and time intertwined,
And within this became the contrast
Of electromagnetism’s transition.

The Dualistic Essence Continues On
Of electromagnetism then
Particles and radiation become,
Opposed, as lumps and fields, as incarnate:
Electrons, six quark types, and the photon.

The Why of Being and Nothingness
Being and all that it is not exhausts
All Possibility, as opposites,
And so they must form a duality,
For there’s no point to specify either.

Beyond Local Reality
Time, space, stuff, change, and form are real-ized from
The Fundamental Possibility,
Becoming the penultimate reality,
One possible from the probabilities.

Quantum Superposition is Real
Our reality comes not from nothing,
But exists always as possibility,
One that amounts to something workable,
Among all in superposition.

The First Impossibility
No form of a penultimate realness
Could exist alone before the rest, since
Everything is quantum-known-all-at-once;
For what could make the choice among many?

The Second Impossibility
Nor comes it from an absolute nothing,
Since there can be no such ‘thing’ at all,
So, since either way is impossible,
Fundamental Possibility IS.

The photon thus represents totality; however totality, as everything, equates to nothing, and neither state is possible, absolutely. It is that Everything and Nothing have the same information content: zero. Electrons/positrons and gravitons are also forms/states of the photon. Essentially, forward time gets erased by backwards time. Our reality is of the time-dilated interim, our ‘now’ here today, gone tomorrow, as a new ‘now’ appears. The ‘nows’ are blended, this born of the present sensation, remembrance of the just past, and the imagination of the future about to come. The delight of this music is more than any of the three could produce alone. We travel through time frames, not as objects through space, and it is that ‘time’, as we will come to understand it, that grants the unity of continuity.

There is neither time nor space from light’s point of view and so it is already ‘everywhere’. The photon is was forced to form, representing everything/nothing, as opposing waves 180 degrees out of phase, which can make for electrons and positrons, due to collisions with other photons, as matter made, which mass of matter makes for gravity, and so light is slowed by the virtual particles and further and finally ultimately negated by gravitons, their negative potential energy canceling the positive kinetic energy of matter (per Hawking).

Now, this next bit may sound silly, but the only possible absolute is nothing, but this ‘absolute’ has no existence, so it is the nonexistent absolute; however, relatively, all is and must be relative to nothing of the impossibility of the Zero and the One. This may be such as the 0 Kelvin that cannot be gotten to, but, never the less, measurements can be made relative to it.

The apparent solid, stable world of matter appears to be sustained at every instant by an underlying sea of quantum light. So let us take this further. If it is the underlying realm of light that is the fundamental reality propping up our physical universe, let us ask ourselves how the universe of space and time would appear from the perspective of a beam of light. The laws of relativity are clear on this point. If you could ride a beam of light as an observer, all of space would shrink to a point, and all of time would collapse to an instant. In the reference frame of light, there is no space and time. If we look up at the Andromeda galaxy in the night sky, we see light that from our point of view took two million years to traverse that vast distance of space. But to a beam of light radiating from some star in the Andromeda galaxy, the transmission from its point of origin to our eye was instantaneous.

There must be a deeper meaning in these physical facts, a deeper truth about the simultaneous interconnection of all things. It beckons us forward in our search for a better, truer understanding of the nature of the universe, of the origins of space and time—those “illusions” that yet feel so real to us.

There are only two constants: change and nonexistence. Once something is created it has to change because the effects required for it to be created as it is, creates other effects that destroy it, as the closure that makes for compositional parity (everything gets created, in pairs, even photons). This is the basis for relativity and evolution—“reality”—because it has no choice but to function as it does when governed by natural rules. Absolute reality doesn’t follow those rules.

I conclude that relatively the universe exists, but absolutely it doesn’t. The challenge to absolutists is to provide a “fundamental substance” that is indivisible, this making for intrinsicnesss, as a substance that has no relativistic properties, which means that it cannot be divided or reduced.

The unresolvable dichotomy paradox of having both absolute everything and nothing coexisting has led us here. So, the result is that All (to us) is delayed from a kind of instantaneous superposition, which is really in no space and no time, as all at once, having already ‘happened’, but taking ‘our time’ to play out, like still frames succeeding one another quickly on a computer screen, due to various re-creations, making motion to be only apparent, not real. The universe is fractal-like, it being relatively infinite above us, as larger, and relatively infinite below us, as smaller, with us and our ‘now’ at the finite mid-point of this relative infinity and eternity, it coming and going, as it does, but with no intrinsic properties to it whatsoever. As such, we are relieved of the unbreakable/unmakable paradox of absolute substance.

So, again, the universe, as One, and what is outside it, as Zero cannot be of two different absolutes, either, so they must be the same, making both relative to nothing, and so neither of them absolute at all. Existence at every instant and place is thus temporary, fleeting, here and gone forever, as a kind of time-dilated broadcast. Our get up and go has ‘long ago’ got up and gone away. We are flashes in the pan, but there is no pan.

‘C’ is the true, ‘infinite’ speed of light in a true vacuum of no time and space and our ‘c’ is a reduced speed due to constant interaction with virtual particles and gravity, but, even so, this ‘c’ light speed still has no time or space to it. It’s as if photons create our ‘reality’ and gravitons erase it. Net zero. In between, there is the ‘here’ and ‘now’, via gravitational time-dilation.

Absolutely full (One), is impossible, and this is because there could be no free space for propagation other than the proposed recreation over zero-dimensional points in relativism. Motion is an illusion due to the fact that there could be no separated substrata through which motion can occur.

We are of what is back and forth, towards both the impossible One and the impossible Zero, and therein between lies our ‘existence’. Our relativity is of an infinite number of random interactions and reactions to those interactions, of which this particular “reality” is but one of very many scenarios.

Next is another derivation, with slight differences, but getting on to that there are no absolutes, from the ‘Everything Forever’ site by Giorbran, and that forms the main portion of my presentation.

In his excellent book Three Roads to Quantum Gravity, Lee Smolin introduces a simple maxim: there is nothing outside the universe. This statement is fairly self-evident and should not be controversial. If we define the “universe” to be the sum total of absolutely everything that exists, then there can clearly be nothing “outside” the universe. But this seemingly unremarkable maxim has astounding implications for our picture of nature—implications which are not generally realized.

If there is nothing outside the universe, then everything “inside” the universe can only be defined in terms of other objects “inside” the universe: every object in the universe is defined in terms of every other object in the universe. This principle, of space emerging purely from the relationships between objects, is a guiding feature of the theory of loop quantum gravity where it is called background independence.

And the next step we can take in analyzing the relative universe is rather remarkable. In the absence of any absolutes in the universe, absolutely everything must be relative. This means not only the location property must be relative to other objects, but every property must be defined relative to every other object in the universe!

The Unbelievable Truth

To a lateral time world—its own 4-D space,

Their way through the overall multispatiality,
Except the direction of travel, and so each path
Is governed by the probabilities of the superspace.

All is then integrated into the parent direction,
Inevitably causing expansion and growth—
Letters, words, phrases, sentences, verse (uni).
We ourselves are the evolution of time.

Two Theories of Time. There are two dominant—and incompatible—theories of time: the tensed theory, and the tenseless theory. The tensed theory of time most resembles the popularly-held view of time. The tensed theory requires there to be a present moment (the ‘now’), and a distinction between an event in the past, present, and future (an event in the past was real, an event in the present is real, and an event in the future will be real). Notice that the ‘now’ moves. This apparent movement of the ‘now’ is an essential feature of the tensed theory of time.

However, there is a philosophical (and logical) problem to this idea of a moving ‘now’. Put simply, it raises the question which has puzzled philosophers: “How fast does time flow?”.

If the ‘now’ moves then it must move with respect to some time reference. So is it moving with respect to itself? Surely not. To say “Time moves at the rate of one second per second” is meaningless. Rather, the rate of time flow would have to be measured with respect to some secondary, external time reference.

However, in our earlier discussion it was stressed that there was no clock outside the universe, so there could not be any such external time reference. It is simply logically impossible for there to be a moving ‘now’. Time does not ‘flow’! So what is the alternative? The alternative is to consider a universe in which all of time is laid-out (just as the space dimension is laid-out), and there is no moving ‘now’. All times are equally real: as there is no special ‘now’, there is no distinction between past and future. This forms the tenseless theory of time.

The universe did not “emerge from nothing”. It is meaningless to talk of the ‘start’ of the universe, or the “emergence of the universe from nothing”, or any other term which implies change of the entire block universe structure over time. The entire spacetime block is laid out as one unchanging structure. Here’s a quote from Stephen Hawking’s book ‘A Brief History of Time’: “If the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be.”

This means that any theory which attempts to explain the existence of the universe solely in terms of events which happened at the Big Bang would appear to be plain wrong. This includes any theory which suggests the reason for the existence of the universe is because the universe “emerged from nothing” (so-called ex nihilo solutions). This includes the theories of Tryon and Vilenkin which suggest that the reason the universe exists is because it quantum tunnelled into existence from nothing.

From an internet site: What is still not quite resolved in modern physics is how to properly combine Quantum theory with Einstein’s Relativity Theory. It appears evident that time is purely a direction in space but how then do we explain the uncertainty of quantum mechanics? Why does it appear that God plays dice with the world. The two theories, each having been proven by their usefulness, do of course tell the same story about this one universe, but we just haven’t learned yet to hear the story right. The best modern theory going is probably the No Boundary Proposal, put fourth by Stephen Hawking and Jim Hartle. This theory introduces a second reference of time which has been inappropriately named Imaginary time. Hawking, writes of the no boundary proposal, “The universe would be completely self contained and not affected by anything outside itself. It would neither be created nor destroyed. In the book Everything Forever, by Giorbran, it is explained how fourth dimensional spatial directions travel through a series of independent three dimensional block-like spaces, which in science we call states, but  they can also be thought of simply as patterns. Hawking has already proposed that imaginary time can be found at right angles to ordinary time. It’s further explain that it is possible in an objective way to understand the universe to be like a book or a movie film. Each moment is a separate universe just like each frame of a movie or page of a book is separate. Yet those separate states simultaneously form the larger whole of the movie or the book. Seeing each moment as a continually existing place sheds light on why particles would then travel as a quantum wave, rather than linearly from point a to point b. This is explained better elsewhere, but if each moment of ordinary time is a solid, static, “block of now”, or field of space, then time each new moment is a distinctly different universe. What we call time is a spatial direction that travels through many static three dimensional universes.

In such a model, what we call time is created purely out of space. Special directions in space travel through each static three dimensional space, therein producing a new realm of space beyond three dimensions, which we call time. The interesting quality this produces, is how the inhabitants of this fourth dimension of space travel a linear path from past to future, but the surrounding environment of each path is shifting from one pattern to the next. This sends particles from one position in four dimensional space to the next without moving linearly. As a result, each individual observer in the fourth dimension experiences a continuous linear time, even though everything in their immediate environment is moving sequentially from place to place. Hence each temporal environment of four dimensional space is constructed relative to each independent observer.

One can imagine oneself smoothly traveling a direct and interconnected path through time, but in looking around at one’s environment, one sees that all other directions of time are broken, causing particles to appear to sequentially leap from one place to another. Paradoxically, everyone observes their own path and experience of time to be linear, while all else around them is sequential. In fact, when we explore time as a direction through many 3D spaces, we find qualities of curvature, time dilation, and spatial contraction, precisely as relativity describes those qualities within our own spacetime.

One can testify that Einstein’s speculations revealed here concerning infinite spaces in motion do at least carry us in the right direction in how they suggest space might have an unseen and possibly infinite content. Similar ideas were introduced by David Bohm, who claimed there are two kinds of order in nature, what he called explicate order and implicate order.

Implicate order for Bohm was a way of acknowledging how quantum mechanics reveals a hidden order where our world is influenced by the whole of all possible states. However, that order is much more visible than Bohm ever realized.

Unfortunately it wasn’t until Einstein died that scientists began to consider the a Many Worlds Theory in science. It’s safe to say that in Einstein’s time we were still getting used to the idea of the Big Bang, adjusting to the ever more visible vast sea of other galaxies, and the possibility of alien life on other planets. The universe and reality were still primarily considered purely solid and material based. Quantum theory, which eventually led to the theory of many worlds, had not yet fully withstood the test of time. Einstein even rejected its implications, saying “God does not play dice” with the world, even as he himself established that there is more to the universe than a single evolving moment of now.

In the explorations of timelessness it is revealed that ordinary space is not merely full of other empty spaces, but empty space is actually the whole of all physical realities; all the universes of the many worlds theory. Profound as it may be, if the theories proposed are correct, space is full, rather than empty. Material things are less than the fullness of space. In fact, it may be that space must include all possibilities in order to seem empty to us. So in summary, the universe we see is just a fragment nested in a timeless (everything) whole, rather than a single material world magically arisen above some primordial nothing. All universes exist without beginning or end in the ultimate arena of time, and each moment we experience exists forever.

Well, the block universe is close to what I have, too, in that it is there all at once, but Nobody Nowhere would extend that to be in no time and no space, since the forces that cause photons must then be balanced by the necessary forces for annihilation.

While I have been saying so far that there are very many relative scenarios, I can now state that there are an infinite number of them, as that is how many fractions there would be between Zero and One, this going on all the ‘time’, so, eternity, now, rejoins its infinite brother, in the relative way, which is not in an actual, absolute way. Everything happens forever.

Hitherto whereby whence we came?
Are we talking consciousness relative to ‘c’
Or fully present as events they occur thence they went?
Do we see a dead star shining brightly
In the fully present now albeit partially past then?

It is not only that there is nothing to make anything of, but that what is here as the universe plus what is beyond the universe (nothing) needs be the same thing for the All to be all.

Notes from Nobody: It was the Ionian Greeks who first developed the concept of an infinitesimal and fractal-type nature for particles, yet they either did not realize or include in their rendering, what absolute nature is: the difference between an infinite, progressive-type nature, and the absolute which is static or solid; infinity has no end, whereas the absolute does.

There is only one possible absolute state —nothing —for the following reasons: “things” are formed through interactions that cancel out at zero as a whole; “nothing” as the primal state is the only possible means of solving the dichotomy paradox of what is outside the Universe.

I suggest a returning to first philosophy so as to ask: how can a Universe be contained by something that doesn’t exist (the outside of the Universe), let alone expand into a non-existent place, which is the commonly accepted notion? I connect infinity with space and eternity with time, and both imply a continuation of sorts without end; whereas absolute space and time have boundaries where, again, there would be nothing outside of these. And this latter point is why I concluded that there is only one possible absolute state, which is the result of erasing concepts of space and time – there is no literal space and time, yet the concept of space and time manifests incrementally when the speed of light in an absolute vacuum is slowed down to varying degrees.

To clarify what I mean by speed of light in an absolute vacuum, based on the Uncertainty Principle: we are decreasing Planck’s constant to zero, and therefore the velocity of light increases proportionately. Infinite speed is the same as no speed because it takes no time for light to reach anywhere at all. It is already everywhere.

And why I say things cancel out is because ‘things’ are created from light. The mass created from the light – in the form of particle/antiparticle pairs – annihilate and release energy which in turn produces more mass; and all the mass of the Universe plus all the gravity in the Universe equals zero. Your center of gravity holds your body together, and because our brains process information at a far slower rate than the constant of light we observe things asymmetrically. But in reality it is impossible for things to have enough time to form because, absolutely speaking, there is no such thing as time from the standpoint of light. In other words, everything immediately annihilates but we break the symmetry because we separate ourselves into individual points that fluctuate and are differentiated at varying frequencies within the visible-light range – a very small portion of what I think must be an infinite number of frequency ranges.

From Stephen Hawking: There are something like ten million million million million million million million million million million million million million million (1 with eighty [five] zeroes after it) particles in the region of the universe that we can observe. Where did they all come from? The answer is that, in quantum theory, particles can be created out of energy in the form of particle/antiparticle pairs. But that just raises the question of where the energy came from. The answer is that the total energy of the universe is exactly zero. The matter in the universe is made out of positive energy. However, the matter is all attracting itself by gravity. Two pieces of matter that are close to each other have less energy than the same two pieces a long way apart, because you have to expend energy to separate them against the gravitational force that is pulling them together. Thus, in a sense, the gravitational field has negative energy. In the case of a universe that is approximately uniform in space, one can show that this negative gravitational energy exactly cancels the positive energy represented by the matter. So the total energy of the universe is zero.

More from Nobody: Zero as the non-existent absolute omits the ‘one.’ It implies that the literal one implied in science, religion and philosophy is an illusory construct of the two perspectives of the zero point: the one perspective is infinitely expansive; and the other perspective is infinitely contractive.

They serve as the basis for relativity, an infinite number of relative measurements and interactions, and as a whole they are declared the ‘one’ verse which arose from a singular point. Observations that support these models force scientists to focus on these observations, because that’s what science is understandably, but they also force scientists to disregard the logical means of extracting information that shows the flaws in our present understanding and how misleading observations can be.

When we look at relativity from those two perspectives, two illusory views based on an infinite number of non-dimensional points, we can easily see why both must fluctuate at an infinite rate of speed, and can also conclude that all forms of relative functioning (interactions) are the result of variations of that speed. Like a blank canvas that contains all pictures, infinite speed contains all speeds simultaneously, with zero (no speed at all) as the greatest velocity because it shrinks space-time to absolute zero – the zero point “here” and the zero point “there” are exactly the same, so no ‘traveling’ is necessary. It exemplifies absolute simultaneity.

Asking what is outside the one? Where we will say that there is no outside, which is the same as saying the exterior is non-existent, and that implies that the universe exists inside a place that isn’t there. So, there can only be infinity based on relative measurements, positive and negative, in all directions, etc., never as an absolute, and for that reason the zero is perfect because it merely represents the non-existent absolute. The one, on the other hand, implies an existent absolute that is impossible to reach.

The zero, which is never reached, serves only to solve the paradox created by a literal interpretation of relative functioning – laws, forces, etc. – which can never be unified as a single force, source, etc.. It would only seem so because the range becomes too short to differentiate observably, but as Zeno might say, it will never reach that absolute singularity. To the contrary, there is much evidence that the universe is fractal and the forces must naturally follow.

Infinity goes on forever without ever becoming absolute. So only the zero can represent what is beyond both infinities in order to justify relativity. Zero is the sum of the positive and negative number infinities, and is therefore the largest number.

Light has no speed in particular, it is infinite, until we create our own reality by setting the speed to ‘c’ relative to observable energy densities which in turn is relative to time dilation/space, which is relative to….etc..

All possible scenarios/realities are ‘occurring’ simultaneously at extreme fast-forward, like at infinite speed, like there is nothing preventing everything from having already occurred outside of time. We just don’t realize it yet because the mind is stuck in a very limiting timeframe and subconscious state of flux, separated from its pristine simplicity and stillness.

The moment we say everything is absolute is the moment we must say there nothing outside of it, paradoxical; but when we say nothing is absolute and then say there is nothing outside of that because it doesn’t exist, it solves the ultimate paradox of first philosophy.

The absolute can’t exist, so the greatest possible (temperature or integer or difference) must be equal to zero. The zero merely represents the fact that absolutes don’t exist, and hence confirms Einstein’s predictions of relativity opposing everything that is classically Newtonian in its limiting macroscopic views – mass, space, time, etc..

In other words, if you will, any object/energy quantum/particle is not absolute. It is relatively composed of an infinite number of infinitesimal points that are extended via time increments – of course, monopolar linear time that creates space.

Something can’t come from nothing, and so the net effect of the absolute universe is zero, not one. So we can logically conclude that there is a non-existent absolute with a relative internal functioning only when measurements are quantized by observers. In essence, the universe doesn’t exist until we say that the parts exist.

It seems logical to say that all the parts combined equal the one universe, but because our observations are only a small part of the total and the total negates all parts, each absolute point of any and all parts equals a non-dimensional point which doesn’t exist. The ancients said trying to figure out the absolute/God/Tao could drive you mad, and I agree because it implies an existence of non existence.

The present understanding of the universe, the generalized one, suggests that finite spacetime expanded into infinite space through the means of a false vacuum. Yet the external pressure would be infinitely greater than the energy of the false vacuum and no inflation would be possible.

I don’t imply that nothing or non existence exists. The point is that the ancients and modern scientists who aim to unify the forces into ‘one’ and proclaim the universe is one, propose an absolute theory based on “one.” I remain to proclaim that the absolute ‘one’ doesn’t exist and believing that it does is the same as saying that non existence exists. There can be no absolute one.

Between the non-existent one and zero, there is infinite speed, mass, energy, time, temperature, etc.. Only fractionalized quanta can exist. Whereas the absolute doesn’t take into account fractions, but completely merges them together to the absolute point of non-existence.

So, the relative circumstantial universe is above and below ‘you’, based upon a persistence of existence according to relative circumstances, without which neither you nor the universe can exist.

I have a problem with the logic behind the present model of a space-time universe as an absolute with no outside – for something to exist it requires space to exist in.

If we then might say that the universe exists within a greater dimension, that dimension would obviously be part of the universe and that would run counter to the logic of saying that the universe has no exterior space.

It’s rather a bothersome bird, unless we Occam Razor the whole literal universe and render it merely an illusion of relativity.

Existence, any existence, is the basis for relativity with the true axis being non-dimensional/non-existent.

If you consider a point of any measurement, that can be increased or decreased infinitely, it is always relative to other measurements. Whereas when we remove the point, completely/absolutely, there are no longer any measurements and so relativity ceases – relative and absolute are opposites according to the dictionary. So 1 must be relative, and 0 must be absolute; existence is relative, and non-existence is the only absolute. If we say ‘one’ is absolute, there is one and nothing else – dual; but if we say ‘none’ is absolute, there is none and nothing else – non-dual. Only non existence is absolute or, if you prefer, absolutes don’t exist.

We don’t have to delve into the infinitesimal or see beyond the infinite ‘expanse’ of the universe. We can simply know that relativity works on all scales for anything to function or any effect to be produced. The absolute I’m referring to is 0 K, and we both should know that 0 K doesn’t exist. So why argue for absolutes in a relative universe, instead of agreeing that the universe simply doesn’t exist outside of a relative timeframe and framework?

Einstein’s genius, imo, has to do with his capacity to extend empirical evidence using imagination and logic. The intrinsic properties of mass and motion were abolished by Einstein and replaced with relativistic properties that logically extend to all scales. His genius went as far as opposing scientists who believed, and still believe, that mass is an intrinsic property. Yet, it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, by SLAC that all mass is dependent upon relativistic energy (light) – light which gains its relativistic properties solely from variations of its “absolute” speed (which is no speed at all because it is everywhere, anywhere and nowhere at the same damn time (no time!)

Instead of a space and time existing independent of the mind and body, the mind creates the impression of distance and the time it takes to traverse a distance by slowing down the speed of light (of which all things are made). Just as virtual particles in the ‘vacuum’ slow light to 300,000 km/s, observably, non-dimensional points are stretched to create spatial constructs (dimensions) by the various rates of light speed. The photonic interactions creating the virtual particles bind to form fundamental particles – with positrons and electrons making up protons and neutrons – where annihilations emitting photons create interactions with neighboring particles, etc..

I believe it was Leibniz who stated something like, the primal substance is motion. This is the whole crux of my premise and my challenge to science, and where Zeno applies to make the point that motion is a relative by product of a reduction in velocity – every point of motion is stillness.

So we can ask: what can break the symmetry of the elusive zero if it’s non-existent? The only logical means of breaking it is if it breaks its own symmetry – much like a non-existent photon which is its own antiparticle breaking symmetry to create particle/antiparticle pairs of which we observe one – by being eternally divided by itself. Zero divided by zero equals one because anything divided by itself equals one, and that is further proof that “one” is relative – dependent upon division in order to exist. Whereas zero is independent, simply because it doesn’t exist.

Your ability to express these intuitive concepts in terms that parallel hard logical thinking is awe-inspiring. — Sponge

Philosophy’s logic can show us truth without proof (which proof we then no longer need, but it would be nice, for completion). So, we see that we are of one of the more workable scenarios of ‘everything forever’. This relieves the paradox of how all this could have been the one and only way.

I guess your training in math and logic gives you this ability but, at the same time, it seems to create a need to fit everything into the rules of science and it could be this that prevents you from seeking your own place in a reality that is so clear to you? Your artwork and poetry is maybe your intuitive curiosity screaming for release?

I always liked the liberal arts, but ended up in computer science, in programming, but that turned out to be an art. Science gives a lot of base information, so it would be hard to ignore that in favor of how we things things ought to be, but surely dogma can come to co-opt our brain wiring, firming it up further by subsequent firing.

I don’t feel the need to find a ‘separate being’ or a ‘god’, I’m just working on the ‘workings’ of human awareness. The fact that humanity evolved so late actually strengthens the possibility that the point of existence is progressing, in my opinion.

It is for sure progressing, out of its infancy, steps forward outdoing some steps backward, and so in the future…

The naturalist, for instance, would be able to absorb with awestruck reverence scenes of overpowering sublimity far beyond the simple prettiness on offer now. A musician would be able to hear and play music more exhilarating and heartfelt than anyone had ever dreamed of. The celestial music of the spheres heard by the mystics would become as a child’s toy flute in comparison to this grand and ultimate symphony.

The sensualist would discover that what had passed for deep and passionate sex had been merely a pleasant prelude. Erotic pleasure of an intensity that flesh had never known would become enjoyable without guilt, even by thought alone. A painter or patron of the visual arts would be able to behold representative vision in a holographic reality of indescribable glory and completeness.

Scientists would be able to apply a googolplex of neurons to their thought experiments, rivaling Einstein’s fortunate “ah-ha” moments, all of the time, to reveal much of what was unknown between heaven and earth.

Arguments by people insisting on their own selfish ways would melt into a new sense of increased reasoning, just as bad and aversive emotions would be greatly lessened by new and safer medical miracles. Wars would become much reduced, and humanity at large could finally progress beyond its everyday suffering. People would actually remember their car keys and glasses that had often and usually piled up at the vanishing point of the ‘lost and found’, which was at the end of the converging railroad tracks.

Of course, throughout the ages there had always been those rare and mystical moments as described above, for some enlightened and peaceful souls or those in love, but they were just fleeting glimpses of a rare light that lit their minds for a while as a flickering candle, when all one’s thoughts perfectly conjuncted, but then, as always, they soon dispersing and moving on into the oblivion of forgotten dreams.

The real question that intrigues me about our perceptions is this; As with dreams, do we (humanity) simply pick up perceptions from a complete but meaningless soup of ‘all that is out there for our senses to pick up’ and create our own reality, or is reality an existent state that can be reliably detected and deciphered by human awareness? In other words, are we gradually understanding an ordered reality or are we, through conscious awareness, arranging chaos into order?

Our senses, by us having them, also indicates that there is something ‘out there’ to take in; however, the senses are selective, such as colors only being of the visual part of the e/m spectrum. According to our intuition, we feel that objects move/change through a space, continuing in their essence, but logic can shake this intuition and shatter its foundations.

These things of the supposed absolute universe would have to be connected, since the Zero cannot be, and an absolute universe is what would be called the One, as solid, being all connected, but, alas, we cannot, therefore, have a One within the impossible Zero, and so the One becomes impossible, too, and with it falls the notion of indivisible, unbreakable basic substance, which, as well, would have been unmakeable, anyway.

We are left with a universe relative only to itself, and, at that, relative, in all directions, to the nonexistent Zero; so, as nothing outside can affect this relative situation, as there cannot be an outside, there is no possible cause to it, so the relative universe can have no beginning, it thus spawning infinite scenarios, as ‘everything forever’, consisting of all the fractionals between Zero and One, as also fractally large and small, all this going on even time and time again.

We ‘exist’ in a relative time dilation from what is essentially all at once. Is it as when we see a live star that was along ago already dead and gone, as its life light is still arriving; but, from light’s point of view, no time passed, since light is ageless, having no time component, as in no time passing, meaning, as well, no space in between. The true speed of light, as infinite (but really in no time and no space, as already ‘there’, simulating ‘infinite’), which we’ll call capital ‘C’, is even slowed by matter to ‘c’, with our finite consciousness operating even slower than that; thus, a time-framed, ‘tape-delayed’ ‘broadcast’ is witnessed, one that, like the dead star, has already happened. This ‘movie’ makes up our living film, all of this due to the stretching of the non existent zero point ‘center’ between forward-time photons and their backward anti-forms as gravitons, these photons meanwhile transforming into electron/positrons pairs which go on to make up all of what we call ‘matter’; however, there was no first matter that produced light nor no first light that produced matter, for all was/is at once, it ever being its own precursor, everything being required being already ‘there’.

Internally, in this kind of twilight zone, we do exist, quite the same as if all was of absolute material, yet, due to it all being relative, there is, ‘externally’, nothing at all and no change at Totality, and there never was. We are, in this instantiation, the temporary and shimmering gleams of “reality’s” rainbow, whose two ends can never reach the impossible Zero or One.
