New Fitz-Omar illustrated Rubaiyats:

‘The Fully Annotated Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam’ 106 pages

All 114 quatrains from all of FitzGerald’s editions are presented (4 are from his notes), with annotation for the obscure, along with the root quatrain(s) and/or related quatrain(s), as I’ve retransmogrified or channeled them from the Bodleian and Calcutta manuscripts, thereby giving us a deeper insight into FitzGerald’s derivations unto his grand renderings.

There are also several groupings of unused or similar quatrains from the manuscripts when there are many (ex: on wine).

So, then, in one unification, we have a fine trace of Omar’s ideas and fumes going forward into Edward’s remixed Victorian-perfumed masterpiece.

‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam’ 114 pages

I’d made a great number of portrait-oriented floral and nature frames and had bought and obtained many more that were all so astoundingly beautiful that I had to put words and art in/behind them, and so this fantastically increased the effect, since each played off the other. A slight oil paint effect was used, as in all my 2017 books. They would make fine posters, too.

So, a brand new pilot ship has been launched, with the emphasis on the words for this version. There are one or a few quatrains per page.

As always, with all 114 quatrains are presented, which has not been done elsewhere, as far as I know of.

Each Fitz-Omar gem ever bears the look of insight and surprise, never wearing out for a lifetime of reading—and none of the quatrains can be dispensed with, not even the one with “Coo, coo, coo”, in which the pigeon in Persian asks “Where, where, where [are they]?

It is left to Fitz-Omar to explain the “What, what, what [is it]?”, the “how, how, how [are you]?, the zen of now and then and when [are you]?, and, finally, to the owl to ask “Who, who, who [are they]?

‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Embellished’ 212 pages

Here in the heavy cruiser version ornamented right-facing art pages were added that pertain to the left-facing page words.

‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Embellished Special Edition’ 300 pages

In this dreadnought/juggernaught version, 88 more art/ornamentations were added in sets of two that pertain to the preceding words/art pages.

Although ever down on the stubborn floor of Earth, we still have Earthly artistic visions ornamented, embellished, adorned, and illuminated.

Updated Omar books:

‘Omar Khayyam’s Bodleian Rubaiyat Retransmogrified’ 198 pages; some adornment added.

‘Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Ancient Times Resplendent’ 280 pages; 120 right-facing art pages added.

‘The Superlative Omar Khayyam Rubaiyat’ (All of my Omar Rubaiyats)

My new, redone, or updated Rubaiyats of my own quatrains:

‘Selected Ornamented Quatrains of Austin P. Torney’
(Not new quatrains, but a new layout)

‘Ornamented Rubaiyats’ (All my quatrains)

‘Rubaiyat of Eternal Secrets Adorned’

‘Rubaiyat of Rhymes and Reasons’

‘Austin’s Golden Rubaiyat Persia-Fumes Art Scapes’ 244 pages; many right-facing art pages added.

‘The Superlative Austin’s Rubaiyats’ (All of my own Rubaiyats)

Book formats note:

For the larger-sized coffee-table formats, I always prefer the Lulu A4 (8.26×11.69) since it is coil-bound and therefore opens flat, has better image resolution, with a fine gloss finish on the pages. Lulu usually offers a coupon every few days to get a good percentage off.

For a smaller book-held-sized version (7×10, proportionate to A4 size), Amazon is the answer, it sometimes being slightly cheaper (unless using a Lulu coupon on Lulu), but Amazon doesn’t have the Lulu features and it doesn’t provide coupons.

There may sometimes be a Lulu 9×7 version, at half the number of pages, with two images merged, sometimes seamlessly.

For great brightness and color, and really cheap, there are the iBook/Kindle e-book versions.

One can also view all the book pages fairly large on my blog, which costs nothing.

Every book has a video, too, some in 4K, for the ultimate large viewing, with great music and often more than just the book pages in it, some of them with the speaking or singing of the words (I’ve added more singing and other speaking to some Omar videos).

Other new or updated books employing quatrains:

I still had hundreds of floral/nature frames left and so these went into many more great books, such as

‘To the Depths of the Deep of the Mysteries of the Night’ [Ornamented]

‘The Ornamented To the Quantum Depths of the Poetic Universe’

‘Flora Symbolica Ornamented—The Lore and Legends of the Flowers’

‘Fantastic Tales Ornamented 1-2’

‘Ornamented Elfin Legends Embellished’

‘Enchanted Journey Ornamented and Embellished’

‘Nostalgic Notions Nature’

Other books, non illustrated:

‘The Prose: Novels and Short Stories’
‘Poetic Epics’ (All my poems.)

It was a busy and snowy winter, but now we can throw off our garments of repentance into the fires of spring.

Art Effects (just a video; no book):

‘Ornamented Rubaiyats’

All of Austin’s Rubaiyats with his own quatrains (not Omar’s) are presented, with several quatrains per page, upon beautiful backgrounds. In this way, most of Austin’s poetic quatrains can be found in one book. There is some overlap among the rubaiyats, and the quatrains have been left in their sequences.

‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam’

114 FitzGerald quatrains are presented (4 are from his notes). There are large words on a beautiful background; could be printed as a poster; one or a few quatrains per page. Has amazing floral frames. An oil effect was used. All new art.

The focus here is on brevity, for affordance.

‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Embellished’ edition adds right-facing images and ‘The Ornamented Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Embellished Special Edition’ adds 88 more images in pairs.

‘Omar Returns Rubaiyat Adorned’

This ‘Omar Returns Rubaiyat Adorned’ subsumes what was the small ‘Persian Dreams’ Rubaiyat that described Persian lore and poetry, and builds on it, with Omar returning to his beloved “Moon of his Delight”, after traveling through the desert and noting the misinterpretation of some of his quatrains, which he states. Omar resumes his commentary on the human condition, after he, as the Earth, and she, as the moon, exchange romantic verses pertaining to their attraction.

Since FitzGerald has long let the djinn out of the bottle, the quatrains herein fly very wild. There are many new quatrains, as well as some retransmogrifications from the Calcutta manuscript. The quatrains starting with “The lake is calm…” unto the end have been borrowed from Positor with his approval.

Now adorned with some ornamentation, is wider, and has an oil effect.

‘Rubaiyat of Eternal Secrets Adorned’

Omar’s adventures/romances continue. Some big questions are answered.

The morn springs thee o’er oblivion’s brink,
The stars overcome, sunk in the day’s drink.
Now set thy path, past Allah’s golden dome,
Unto the green-grassed river-bank to sink.

‘Omar Khayyam’s Bodleian Rubaiyat Retransmogrified’ updated

Herein are the 158 quatrains by Omar Khayyam from the Bodleian Rubaiyat retransmogrified, more than 100 of them omitted by FitzGerald. Coumans’ quatrain correspondence table at his fine website, showing the Bodleian Rubaiyat manuscript’s various public domain quatrains’ translations and/or stylizations, allows one to home in on the real Omar Khayyam by reading between the lines of literal and the poetic. How ever so many quatrains dealing with drinking came to be written indicates how prime the theme of wine was meant to be, or at least the useful connections to thereof, plus the connotation of drinking wine extending unto the enjoyment of life in in general through its drinking in. Nevertheless, descriptions of total drunkenness are unmistakable and ever-present. Let’s call FitzGerald’s renderings to be about 40, since he got two from a couple and also used bits and pieces. His Rubaiyat of 114 quatrains made for the greatest poem in history.
